How the Quiz Bank helps your revision

Testing yourself is one of the most reliable ways to remember what you have studied. Trying to recall an answer strengthens memory far more than re-reading notes, and the questions you get wrong show you exactly where to focus next.

How a quiz session works

  • Choose a level and subject, then start a session of up to 20 shuffled questions.
  • Each question has its own timer, and you can pause, resume or skip a question.
  • After you answer, you see whether you were right together with an explanation.
  • At the end you see your score and a suggested next step.

Getting the most from each session

  1. Revise first, then quiz. A quiz is for checking what you know. Use the lessons to learn a topic before you test it.
  2. Read every explanation, including the ones for questions you answered correctly. A lucky guess is not knowledge.
  3. Keep a list of the questions you missed and try them again a few days later.
  4. Little and often works best. Two short sessions a day are more effective than one long session the night before an exam.

When your quiz scores are steady, move on to full past papers under timed conditions.
